Tendai Gumbie, Advisor, Evidence, Learning, and Impact

Tendai Gumbie, based in the Pacific, brings 12+ years of development experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning, and adaptation (MELA). His expertise spans across blended finance, education, health, inclusive digital finance, and labor mobility. His experience is in Southern Africa and the Pacific. Currently, Tendai supports Moonshot’s work as an evidence, learning, and impact advisor for the Pacific Agreement on Closer Economic Relations (PACER) Plus program as well as other ELI activities around the world. He specializes in capacity building, tools and systems training, data collection and analysis, and reporting.

Tendai holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Johannesburg and a post-graduate diploma in monitoring and evaluation from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. He is fluent in English, Shona, Xhosa, and Zulu.
